When i drove to town today to go to lunch alli could see was plumes of smoke rising in 4-5 different places through out the valley. As the wind kicked up in the evening it spread the smoke out and blended it together creating some seriously aggressive scenics. Enjoy it! Trav and Evan loved it!

Just a quick little remeniss of the summer that is leaving us now and turning to frosty mornings and beanies again. It was an epic one here in JH though, many new friends an lots of great times. Here’s till the next time we see green grass.

The process of doing portraits is something i have really come to love in the past few years, especially when they are of people you know and love. This is my dear friend Marek (aka Gandalf) who Lives in Prague with his wife Iva, they are two of my absolute favorite people in the city i consider a second home. If you ever get a chance to meet this guy you will know why this piece suits him so well .

Last night i witnessed music history.

I’m not gonna be putting a grip of photos of myself riding up here, I promise. This one  in particular has a good story behind it. Back in the day it seemed i found myself, very uncomfortably usually, in front of a camera. I always joked that i just wanted to get a shot to show my mom, but it never really worked out and i never really got”the shot”. That’s were this photo comes into play. About (99-2000) two years after i had given up on trying to get “the shot” i was over in the CZ rep. doing a little work on this event but mainly just getting out of LA for a few weeks. Hadn’t hit a jump in two years and hit this one about 5or6 pivo deep. Two weeks later this popped up in a crappy club mag while i was out on the town…I had to laugh knowing that i finally did it. This one’s for you MOM!

WOW, When i was invited to go on the VLCM trip at Baldface BC, i constantly felt like something would happen to get in the way. once we got on the plane i thought it could crash, not because i’m paranoid but because i had heard so much about it and wanted to go so bad i felt like it was too good to be true. In the end everything worked out as smooth as silk, small delays on the flight but not an issue. We got in late but still heli’d in and it just got better and better. I really had no idea what to expect especially because i never had it so good. Everything about the experience from the first second to the last was ALL TIME. Above and beyond all,  the thing that make’s  it such a special place and experience is the amazing people, YES the snow was insane, YES the food was 5 star but it’s still the people and how they bring everything together that make me smile whenever i think of my times up there. Big thanks to Jeff Pensiero, Stella, Heath, Homey J, Diana and pretty much ever single person at the lodge. If you ever want the dream trip to end them all start here… http://www.baldface.net/
