Over the last few years i have had the honor to become better and better friends with this guy and i can truly say he is one of the coolest human beings i have ever met. Always funny as can be, always on point as f#$% and a truly great friend. Last January i had an art show in Innsbruck Austria and he allowed me to do this portrait of him. Like i said, i love doing portraits and this one was especially fun to do. Swooped up fast by a collector that i would love claim, but he asked me to “keep it on the DL” so i will honor his request.

We woke up this morning with a white blanket over everything, maybe it’s jumping the gun a bit but it really feels like winter just landed and we’ll be full swing next week. Wishful thinking cause we still have 2 solid months of waiting. Regardless i’m so stoked to have seen both of these sights in one day. Nature always blows my mind.

In recent days I’ve been thinking a lot about Prague, Before i moved back to Jackson in May of 08 i was living there non-stop for about 2 years. What i miss most about it is the people and all the fun we had together. I’ve been going through photos trying to find one’s of the people i miss, i miss my homies but funny thing is i don’t have many photos of dudes. For anyone who ever asked me why i love it there here are a few reasons.

Here’s another sweet N.E.R. painting, I love his style, always have, he’s one of those painters that paints directly from his mind to the canvas, always interesting and full of emotion no matter what the subject matter.

Not really sure if I’m allowed to or even if i would know what to say but DP sent me these via email titled “New Deal”. Regardless of what this may be or may not be,  Dan’s work is always so innovative it usually takes the status quo a few years to catch up to his style. I look forward to seeing what exactly he and the crew have marinating, it’s bound to be groundbreaking and tight as always.GAMA_Chip_1C2GAMA_Chip_2BGAMA_LtBx_Chip_1BGAMA_Chip_3B

This is my Homage to this stunning place i am so fortunate to live. I painted this 12 years ago the first time i moved here. It also happens to be my first painting with Oil’s. Sun-Sept 27th forest fire on Jackson lake Just another mellow Sunday in Jackson, All i can say is never underestimate the power of a forest fire. To witness it up close is AWESOME in the truest sense of the word. Crazy to think that these absolutely beautiful beaches on Jackson lake will not recover for at least 10 years. We watched whole groves of trees light up at once with extremely powerful force and sounds  that i will never forget. We went from sitting on the beach 30 yards from the edge of the fire thinking it was dying down to seriously running from burning debris and watching a new fire start exactly where we were just sitting. All in all an amazing day, so glad we survived the 10 mile Zodiac mission overloaded and putzing along at 4mph in choppy seas. Damn i stink like i’ve been camping for a week, time to wash off the smoke.L1210520L1210491L1210515L1210490L1210464
