Last night i realized that everyday i go to work at the studio i have always dreamed about. It’s amazing what hard work and a ton or two of plywood can build you. All i need now is to set up a place to paint and build a grip of new canvas.

When i started to do this Blog i came in Super Hot… then, (I must apologize), i fell off for about a month while i went full value launch date marathon!

Here are a few photos of the early days at the “Beat Lab” from the artist visiting to sign there Editions and see what this ASYMBOL thing is all about. More to come for sure but here’s a taste.

Been off the map for a month Taking Care of Business like never before but i took a drive to CA last week to attend and breath in the coolest thing i have ever been a part of. Here are some photos of the night, I have to credit RYNO for all these shots, i was too overwhelmed by the whole thing and left my camera at home so i had to steal his of the intraweb…Thanks to everyone for an event i will never forget.

Come November 14th i will be heading down to mammoth for the first time in about 7 years to be involved with the “I AM Snowboarding” event, but today i am working on the painting that will be in the show.

Jeff Anderson was a professional snowboarder for ten of the twenty-three years that he lived his amazing life. In that time he touched thousands of lives around the world in both the snowboard and skate communities.

In honor of what would be Jeff’s 30th birthday this November, and to raise money for the JLA Memorial Fund, a group of world-renowned photographers and artists, friends of Jeff and of snowboarding have come together to create an unparalleled body of work titled:

I AM SNOWBOARDING.

One photographer is paired with one artist to create an original 30” x 40” piece. A photo of Jeff, shot by the photographer, has been enlarged onto archival canvas upon which the artist paints or uses any medium to create a unique collaborative work.

The resulting pieces are one of a kind, the partnerships formed in this project a tribute to the depth of the snowboarding, skateboarding and art communities.

All proceeds from I AM SNOWBOARDING go directly to the JLA Memorial Fund – the completion of the Brothers Skateboard Park in Mammoth and the support of local art.

The collection will be released for the first time in The Village at Mammoth, Mammoth Lakes, CA on November 14^th, 2009 and will be open to the public for two weeks through November 29^th. Opening Reception Saturday, November 14^th from six to nine in the evening during Mammoth Mountain’s Big Kickoff Weekend.

Limited edition prints will be available online through Asymbol Gallery – Travis Rice and Mike Parillo’s new endeavor that showcases the art and photography that have defined their lifestyle for the past decade. Asymbol is set to launch this November. Originals will be auctioned at the end of the season. Details TBA.

This morning i got an email from Jeff at Baldface asking Guch and I to come up to Nelson for Guide training in early December…Needless to say it had me thinking all day long and i came home this evening and did a little look at my shots from my first trip up there last winter with this group of amazing friends from VLCM. Being able to Drop into Seattle and spend a few days with my brother Jamie was an awesome thing. He and I go back about 15 years or so and it always makes me super happy to be able to spend time with him. On this trip we hung out for 2-3 days, Drank 2 bottles of Patron and went to see AC/DC at the Tacoma Dome with 30,000 people, went to the LibTech Factory in Port Angeles WA. and had a much needed session of catching up along the way.If your actually reading this, the chances of you not knowing who this guy are, are really slim, so no need to explain. If there is any reason why you don’t, please figure it out.
